The Department of Modern Languages at the University of Prince Edward Island invites applications for a sessional instructor to teach the following courses during the 2016-2017 academic year, subject to budgetary approval:

Fall Semester: September – December 2016


This course is designed for students who have completed the high school French Immersion Program, or who have completed 212, or who are placed into the course through the Placement Test. This course entails a detailed and accelerated study of all areas of French grammar, accompanied by analysis of short texts.

Three hours a week plus conversation class

Please note that priority will be given to qualified individuals on the UPEI sessional roster of the academic unit.

Application Instructions:

The successful applicant will have a PhD in a relevant discipline with a dissertation written in French, experience in teaching French Language in a postsecondary institution plus evidence of effective teaching in French Language. Applicants should submit a letter of application, a current curriculum vitae, and two recent letters of reference to:
