$11.11 per hour (vacation pay included)

A student research assistant is required to assist in collecting, analyzing and disseminating data for a study entitled; Exploring Global Health Competencies through the Voices of Nursing Students. Preference will be given to a current student enrolled in the undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Accelerated or Regular track) program. The successful applicant will work under the direct supervision of Dr. Christina Murray and will have the following responsibilities and qualifications.


• Transcribing audio data
• Conducting literature searches
• Assisting the research team in analyzing data
• Assisting the research team in disseminating findings


• Ability to work well independently
• Demonstrates strong initiative and an ability to be self-directed
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Familiar with Microsoft word 
• Interest in global health and international nursing practice
• Organized and manages time efficiently and effectively
• Involvement in previous research activities and familiarity with voice to text software such as Dragon Dictate would be considered an asset
