33.75 hours per week 

$35,693 per annum, prorate to time and term as per CUPE 1870 (Grant Funded)

UPEI is seeking an overall clinic coordinator and lead coordinator and analyst for a concussion program that aims to use baseline testing and exercise protocols to assess return to work or return to play readiness decisions.  He or She will communicate with several different groups and organizations that run programs in the clinic to help with logistical specifics, as well as within the concussion assessment team as a leader in planning and conducting research and testing. 

The successful candidate will play an integral role in achieving the research objectives and in the day to day running of the clinic. This person will coordinate the concussion project, assess participants, and manage and analyze the data collected. 

• Organize the schedule for the Steel Clinic education, exercise, and office areas
• Act as a liaison between Health PEI and UPEI for the running of the Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab programs
• Communicate effectively with potential participants and health care professionals
• Schedule and lead concussion baseline tests and exercise sessions
• Create documents outlining the clinic team’s concussion protocols
• Oversee additions to protocols based on current masters students research
• Create appropriate documents for concussion symptom tracking
• Monitor and make decisions on concussed participants’ heart rate-based exercise protocols
• Compile concussed participants exercise and test results into appropriate reports (ex. report cards, symptom-tracking reports, case studies)
• Conduct eye-movement and balance based concussion assessments

• Masters in Science with an emphasis on mild traumatic brain injury
• Strong writing, report creating, and data analysis skills
• Statistical skills to carry multivariate statistical analyses using large datasets, and experience using statistical packages (e.g., SAS, SPSS)
• Excellent planning, coordinating and organizational skills
Effective and interactive communication skills
• Experiences searching online article databases and identifying and synthesizing key articles
