UPEI Case Competition Team Coach
Part Time Term
Hours of Work: 

30 hours per week

$16.00 per hour (vacation pay included) (off Scale CUPE 1870)

August 1, 2014 to July 31, 2015 (Term may be reduced or extended depending on performance, available funding and departmental requirements.) 

The School of Business invites applications from qualified individuals to fill a term position as a UPEI Case Competition Team Coach. 


The Team Coach will work closely with UPEI Business Faculty and Students acting as a coach and mentor for team competitions.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
• The ability to coach, mentor, guide students;
• The ability to work on acquisition of business theory;
• Judging case practices;
• Responsible in leading/attending student group meetings to improve upon presentations strategy;
• Assist teams with competition preparations – writing/presenting cases;
• Responsible for organizing team building events


• A Bachelors of Business Administration or equivalent work related education and experience;
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively;
• Applicants should be motivated and self-directed;
• Experience with computer and information technology;
• Experience with writing, reviewing, critiquing business documents;
• Excellent organization skills;
• Experience will group facilitations;
• Experience with evaluation group presentations;
• Experience working with students;
• Experience in Case Competition participation would be of value;
• Willingness to travel;
• Other duties as required;
• Valid driver’s license

Candidate must be available to travel on/off Island as necessary.
