The Department of Music at the University of Prince Edward Island invites applications for a sessional instructor to teach the following course during the Fall 2019 (September—December 2010):

MUSIC 3530: Elementary Music Education
In this course, students examine various learning theories and teaching approaches to elementary school music. Students critically investigate curriculum expectations and repertoire choices and they develop pedagogical skills, focusing on the young child, grades K-3.

Qualifications:
The successful applicant will have a minimum of a Master’s degree in Music Education (Doctorate preferred) and public school teaching experience in music at the elementary level.

Qualified applicants already on the UPEI Sessional Roster will be given priority.
