A Sessional Instructor is required to teach the three-hour credit course – IS 6120 – titled The International Relations of Small Island States in the winter semester (January – April) of 2018.  This appointment is subject to final budgetary approval.

ISLAND STUDIES 6120 – The International Relations of Small Island States
This course explores in-depth the international agenda for small-island states, the channels and resources involved in their international relations, and the attention and commitment of metropolitan states and international organizations.

Qualifications:
The successful applicant should have a multidisciplinary background, with a minimum of a Ph.D. or equivalent in a relevant discipline or area of study, preferably in island studies, political science, international relations, and/or geography. A publishing, research and teaching background in the subject area would be an asset.
Preference will be given to qualified candidates with seniority on the UPEI Sessional Roster in the academic unit.
