Hours of Work: 

37.5 hours per week (Students must be willing to work flexible hour arrangements to accommodate sampling requirements)

Salary: 
$14.37 per hour (vacation pay included)
Term: 

May 22, 2017 – June 30, 2017 (6 week period could be adjusted if needed for DVM students)

This summer, a DVM student is required to work on a fish project with CERC Aquatic Epidemiology group in the AVC Department of Health Management. The student will work primarily on data analysis of fish infectious diseases, but duties may include other activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Clean and conduct analysis on fish health data
• Data entry and processing
• Assistance with literature searches
• Other duties a assigned by CERC Aquatic Epidemiology faculty and staff

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Completion of at least one year of the DVM program
• Good communication skills
• Computer skills and good inter-personal skills
• Experience or strong interest in aquaculture health are desirable

Priority is given to University of Prince Edward Island students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and Procedures manual.
