The Athletics & Recreation Department requires Facilities Monitors for its sports facilities (Turf Field, Alumni Canada Games Place and Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform opening and closing duties at the venues
• Maintain daily facility event reports
• Assist in keeping facilities clean of garbage and debris
• Provide customer service support to internal and external users of the facilities
• Serve as a point of contact to other departments for clients
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to carry / move / set-up sporting equipment
• Must be able to work evenings and weekends
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions
QUALIFICATIONS:
Monitors work under limited supervision and must possess the ability to communicate effectively. Must be able to adjust easily to expect circumstances. Understands and appreciates the need to provide quality client service. Previous experience working with community groups is considered an asset. Monitors must be organized and must have (or be willing to become) certified in basic CPR and First Aid.
