The Department of Advancement is seeking a full-time summer student for the position of Summer Student Campaign Assistant to assist with research, data entry, media monitoring, event planning and general office duties. The position also involves working closely with Advancement in developing a moves management system and critical path in order to formulate the beginning steps of a significant campaign.

The Department of Advancement at UPEI exists to promote relationships across campus, the greater community, with donors, prospects, alumni and friends that will enhance the vision, mission, reputation, and resources of the University.
The Advancement team is responsible for a wide range of functions including raising more than $5 million per annum in support of student success. The Alumni Office within the Department of Advancement is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with former students across generations with a goal to engaging them with each other and the university in meaningful ways.

As a detail-oriented planner, the candidate will possess excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to implement project initiatives from start to finish. S/he will have previous and successful writing and research experience as well as knowledge of other forms of communication (i.e. web, social, and digital media). The candidate will be comfortable performing general office duties including on-campus deliveries, on-line research, sitting in on planning meetings, performing general office duties, and planning events.
