12 hour shifts. (7AM-7PM or 7PM-7AM.)

$50, 699 per annum as per CUPE 501

 The Department of Facilities Management Security Services Division is currently
seeking to fill the position of Corporal, within the department.
Duties will include the Supervision of Officers including assigning duties, allocating workload and monitoring the work of staff. The Corporal will be responsible for preparing schedules, overseeing investigative files and reports, ensuring subordinates are following departmental policies/and procedures and recommending staff training requirements. The Corporal will perform the duties of a Security Officer and other related duties as assigned by the Manager of Security Services.

1. Graduate of the Atlantic Justice Institute Police Technology Training Program or a graduate of a comparable Police Science course recognized by the Attorney General of Prince Edward Island or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
2. Must be currently sworn in or immediately eligible for appointment as a Provincial Security Police Officer under the PEI Police Act.
3. At least five years current related working experience.
4. Supervisory training and experience required.
5. Additional training meeting current standards in police science subjects.
6. Excellent writing, speaking and computer skills
7. Have served an acceptable period of full time service as a sworn member of any police force in Canada.
