The Department of Applied Human Sciences at the University of Prince Edward Island has openings for several sessional lecturers during the 2016 Fall semester, subject to final budgetary approval.  Individuals qualified to teach the following courses are encouraged to apply:

FSc/KINE 241 – “Human Development”

This course explores human development from conception to old age, including physical, cognitive, and psychological aspects. Topics include attachment across the lifespan; various theories used to study human development; gender; the aging process; and societal factors affecting human development. The reciprocal relationship between human development and their environments is emphasized.

FN 461W – “Clinical Nutrition II” (online)

This course is a continuation of Foods and Nutrition 352 with emphasis on the pathophysiology and nutritional management of gastrointestinal disorders, food sensitivities, liver diseases, hypermetabolic states, renal disease, and AIDS.

• Applicants must hold an M.Sc. or Ph.D. in a field related to the respective course content
• Documented experience teaching these courses would be a definite asset
• Preference will be given to qualified candidates with seniority on the UPEI Sessional Roster, and to those with experience in teaching university level courses.
