The UPEI Department of Advancement team is responsible for a wide range of functions that lead toward securing more than $5 million per annum in support of student success. The Alumni Office within the Department of Advancement is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with former students across generations with a goal to engaging them with each other and the university in meaningful ways.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Manager of Alumni Affairs will be responsible for the creation, planning, and implementation of programs and projects that strategically engage alumni in strengthening programs and provide tangible benefits to alumni and current students.
Serving as an ambassador, the Manager of Alumni Affairs will be responsible for securing commitments from alumni to provide professional expertise and volunteer service; collaborating with colleagues across campus to create and maintain pathways for alumni participation that advance the goals of the university; partnering with Advancement colleagues to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward alumni giving; and serving as a strategic liaison between the Alumni Association Board of Directors and the academic and administrative leadership, among other duties that enhance the relationship between alumni and UPEI.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Highly organized in thought and action, the successful candidate will have a broad background and successful track-record in relationship building and engaging diverse constituencies around common interests.
As a strategic level thinker and planner, the candidate will possess excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to create and implement a strategic plan developed in collaboration with the University and the Alumni Association Board of Directors.
Experience with fund development is expected, ideally in a post-secondary education environment, as well as experience in managing the demands of regional and national activities and programs.
A minimum bachelor's degree is required, with preference from UPEI.
