37.5 hours per week 

$12.95 – $21.95 per hour (vacation pay included, commensurate with qualification, education and experience)

May 1, 2017 to September 1, 2017 

The PI is seeking a highly motivated and innovative individual to assist in developing a new and innovative approach to research and intelligence gathering related to student experience and student lifecycle.  Reporting to PI, the incumbent will work with an interdisciplinary team to deliver a plan that addresses the student experience and decision-making.


• Identify key priority research needs
• Work with stakeholders on campus including faculties and administration to identify key research questions that will provide greater intelligence for student recruitment, retention and improving the student experience
• Assess and recommend various methods for data collection including cost, benefits and barriers
• Develop a comprehensive recommendation to the committee that outlines the research plan including aims, methods and benefits to the institution
• Conduct secondary research that informs that research priorities for the institution
• Draft and edit papers and documents


• UPEI Undergraduate or Graduate student
• Understanding of data systems and research methods
• Strong writing skills
