The Faculty of Education is granted Federal and Provincial funding to offer the Bachelor of Education (français langue seconde) program, and create conditions to increase the number of applicants. To help create these conditions, we are building collaborative relationships with PEI’s French first and second language Education and community-based organizations. The incumbent for this position will help build and support these relationships through the various communications work. The person will report directly to the BEd (français langue seconde) Coordinator, and ultimately to the Dean.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Construct and update web presence
• Analyze, extrapolate themes and write executive summary of reports
• Prepare press releases and promotional communications
• Liaise with French Education and community organizations

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Undergraduate Degree preferred
• Bilingual (English and French)
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong oral communication skills
• Strong digital literacy skills
• Strong visual design skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Experience with Wordpress, Google Apps, and social media

Priority will be given to University of Prince Edward Island students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and Procedures manual.
