Approximately 10 hours per week (flexible)

$10.74 per hour (vacation pay included)

April to June, 2013 (approximately 5-6 weeks)

The Faculty of Education is seeking student applications for the position of Bachelor of Education (specialized undergraduate) Research Assistant for a project on Examining Kindergarten Teacher’s Inquiry Projects in a Specialized Bachelor of Education Program Practicum.
The student will be responsible for:
• Performing library and Internet searches
• Analyzing and coding research information
• Assisting in the writing of a literature review
• helping contribute to knowledge mobilization
• other duties as required
• Experience with library searches and the collection of data for literature reviews
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Strong writing abilities
• Strong digital literacy skills
• Ability to work independently and perform tasks on short notice
• Familiarity with concepts pertaining to professional learning communities and communities of practice, and learning through inquiry, action research
