This individual supports the Head Coach in coordination and implementation of Special Projects to develop the Men’s Basketball program.  Projects include: Era Rep Support, Mickey Place Memorial Basketball Tournament, Game day Promotions, Basketball Camps/Clinics and Friends of Basketball events support. He/She will report to and take direction from the Head Coach of the Men’s Basketball program and the Varsity Coordinator.


• Work closely with the coach, and Athletic Department, to organize and facilitate special projects
• Responsible for acquiring necessary information and producing planning documents, proposals and/or reports
• Where there are personal connections with youth, fans, alumni and Friends of men’s basketball this individual will be responsible for supporting the coach in fostering a positive relationship between the individual/groups, the University and the basketball program
• Work with campus departments and support staff
• Assist with promotional activities
• Perform general duties as required

• Strong communication skills
• Strong computer skills
• Able to work with minimal supervision
• Experience with the sport of basketball
• Knowledge of UPEI Men’s Basketball program
• Must be able to work days, evenings, and weekends

Priority will be given to University of Prince Edward Island students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and Procedures manual.
