Applications are invited for up to three part-time Research Assistants, working under the supervision of Scott Wilson, Project Manager of the UPEI Workforce Strategies Research Group and working on one developing research project.  This position will be part-time, commencing immediately until June 30, 2014.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Research Assistants will work closely with UPEI WSRG project manager Scott Wilson, and will be primarily engaged in the contacting of Island Businesses to ask for their participation in an online survey.  Duties include but are not limited to the following:
• The ability to speak clear and fluent English;
• The ability to communicate effectively, clearly and professionally;
• The ability to keep all information secure and confidential;
• The ability to follow a written script and follow calling guidelines;
• The ability to use Excel software; and
• The ability to perform basic descriptive statistical analysis using SPSS would be an asset.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors level degree would be an asset.
• Applicants should be motivated and self-directed, literate in computer and information technologies.
• Knowledge and experience of the Prince Edward Island labour force would be an asset.
• Attention to detail and the ability to keep information confidentiality are required.
• All successful candidates will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement.
