The Political Science Department at the University of Prince Edward Island has an opening for a Sessional Instructor for the Winter 2017 semester. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.

Political Science – POLS 102
Introductory Politics II:  Political Ideologies in Liberal Democracies

This course introduces students to a comparative analysis of the political systems of major nations, among them Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Russia, China, Brazil, India, Japan and South Africa.  Among the topics covered are political parties and electoral  systems;  interest groups and public opinion;  and decision-making  and public policy formulation in the areas of commerce, education, health and welfare.

Successful applicant will have a minimum of a Master’s Degree in the Humanities. Priority will be given to qualified individuals on the UPEI sessional roster of the academic unit.
