Residence Sign-In Staff (AMENDED APRIL 2, 2013)
Hours of Work: 

Up to 15 hours per week (nights and weekends)

$10.40 per hour (vacation pay included)

2013-2014 academic year (September-April)

 Residence Services is seeking Sign-In Staff for the 2013-2014 academic year (September - April).
Sign-In Staff are customer service representatives working evenings at the front desks in Bernardine Hall and Andrew Hall. They serve as a primary source of information and service for residents, authorized guests and staff within the buildings. Sign-In Staff play an important role in establishing a positive environment for all who live, work, and visit the residence community. Sign-In Staff work in collaboration with Residence Life Advisors (RLAs), Security Services and the office of Residence Services. Sign-In Staff control the sign-in process for residents and their guests, including the proper handling of ID cards. Sign-In Staff will be required to file a report at the end of each shift.
Applicants must be available for scheduled work beginning as early as the first day of the fall semester (August 31st 2013) and, up to and including, the last day of the winter semester. Additional time may be required during examinations.
Applicants must be available for training on August 30th 2013.
Strong customer service skills, computer skills, and administrative skills are required. The ability to work independently, as well as being a team player, is essential. Knowledge of the UPEI Residence Life program, policies, and the residence facilities would be an asset.
Minimum 65% average on last semester of academic study. Confirmation required.
Full time student status for the 2013-2014 academic year. Confirmation required by successsful applicants upon commencement of position.
