Permanent Part-Time Ten (10) Month Position

The Faculty of Nursing, University of Prince Edward Island, is now accepting applications for a permanent part-time Clinical Nursing Instructor position. The instructor will provide direct clinical supervision to undergraduate students in the mental health unit at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital or Prince County Hospital and in communities in Charlottetown and West PEI. This appointment is subject to final budgetary approval.

Qualifications:

BScN or BN, current registration or eligibility for registration with CRNPEI and at least 3 years of full-time clinical experience. Expertise in acute and community adult mental health nursing is required. Previous experience in clinical supervision of students would be an asset.

Term:    August 25 to June 25, Annually

Fall:   NURS 3230 – Partnerships with Client and Families Living with Chronic Illness: 3 days per week (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) 22.5 hours per week, involves shift work

Winter: NURS 3130 - Developing Partnerships with Clients in the Community: 3 days per week (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) 22.5 hours per week

Summer:  NURS 3100 – Integrated Clinical Experience I:  5 days per week (April 22 – June 24 – Charlottetown and communities in West PEI
