2-3 evenings during one week a month

$11.11 per hour (includes vacation pay)

March to June 2015 with a possible extension into the summer

The International Relations Office is seeking student assistants to initiate and respond to email, Skype or other social media communications with potential UPEI international students to provide basic information about living and studying in PEI. 

• Initial contact with applicants via email
• Respond to inquiries from applicants via email, Skype, or other social media outlets
• Provide accurate information about living in PEI (i.e. finding housing, weather conditions, getting settled) and studying at UPEI (facilities/services available, campus atmosphere, etc.)
• Participate in a two to three hour training session

• 2nd or 3rd year international student or Canadian student
• Bilingual (must speak English and Bengali)
• Ability to work independently, and make sound judgments
• Demonstrates strong organizational and communication skills

• Knowledge of Urdu would also be an asset
• Knowledge of South Asian countries
• Knowledge of UPEI programs and student support services
