Hours of Work: 

One student will be hired for 200 hours and the other student will be hired for 170 hours.

Salary: 
$10.74 per hour (vacation pay included)

Two student assistants are needed for a research project that deals with the application of panel cointegration statistical method to investigate the impact of the US debt crisis on the Canadian economy. This research project provides an excellent opportunity to learn time series statistical methods and cointegration analysis.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful applicants will assist with collecting statistical data on key trade variables related to the US and the Canadian economies. The students will perform time series regressions using the statistics software STATA.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Students need to have good knowledge of Statistics and some familiarity with regression analysis and the use of statistics software. Knowledge of basic macroeconomics and international trade theories is also appreciated.
Priority to University of Prince Edward Island students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and Procedures manual.
