37.5 hours per week (Irregular hours may occasionally lead to variable work weeks.)

 A student is required to work in the Animal Nutrition Laboratory, Department of Health Management, Atlantic Veterinary College for 12 to 15 weeks this summer. Employment will commence in early May.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
To assist faculty and staff with research into the effect of stocking on the chemical composition and condition score of American eels. In addition, the student will assist in nutritional analysis of green crab as a possible source of nutrients for animal and fish feeds. The student will collect samples, do laboratory analysis, and input data. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A background in nutrition or biochemistry, and experience in laboratory techniques are essential. Computer skills and knowledge of aquatic animal science are assets. A valid driver=s licence is required.
