The Department of Political Science in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Prince Edward Island has an opening for a Sessional Instructor to teach POLS 4710 (International Organizations) – Winter 2020. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.

POLS-4710 International Organizations

This seminar analyzes the role of both inter-governmental and non-governmental organizations in the international system. Students examine theoretical approaches to international organization as well as the structures and functions of particular global and regional bodies. The focus of the course is the United Nations system and particularly the challenges facing the U.N. in a post-Cold War world. Seminar:

Three hours a week / 3 hours credit

Successful applicant will have a minimum of a Ph.D. in Political Science

Preference will be given to qualified candidates with seniority on the UPEI Sessional Roster of the academic unit.
