UPEI's International Relations Office is currently seeking an energetic, passionate, independent self-starter for the position of International Student Recruiter and Advisor. This person will report to the Associate Director and will work closely with UPEI colleagues in the International Relations Office. In addition, he/she will work with external agencies and offices, including institutional recruitment representatives, Embassy/Consulate/High Commission officials, and Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC). 


• Responsible for assisting with the development, coordination and delivery of the strategic international enrolment plan associated with recruitment and retention, student advising, and support services for international students. 
• Develop and conduct recruitment-based activities as required/planned
• Develop recruitment strategies to attract qualified applicants
• Represent UPEI at international recruitment tours and fairs
• Participate in onsite partner visits, and make all logistic arrangements for international recruitment trips that target international students 
• To assist applicants with all international applications, registrations, pre-departure preparations, advising and support services for international students upon their arrival at UPEI 
• To work with government agencies and international partners


• Applicants must have a 4-year undergraduate degree from an accredited higher education institution and present a minimum of two to three years of professional experience in educational services, consulting, or marketing.
• Preference will be given to candidates who have first-hand experience with UPEI programs.
• Familiarity with UPEI international recruiting activities, an understanding of operations in Canadian universities and a knowledge/experience with educational systems in other countries will be a definite asset.
• Must be able to multi-task under pressure in a constantly changing environment.
• Exceptional communication skills and an ease with public speaking are essential.
• Fluency in additional languages will be a strong asset.
