Permanent Part-Time Eight (8) Month Position

The Faculty of Nursing, University of Prince Edward Island, is now accepting applications for a permanent part-time Clinical Nursing Instructor position. The instructor will provide direct clinical supervision to undergraduate students in medical-surgical units at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital or Prince County Hospital or Kings County Memorial Hospital. This assignment may also include instruction in the Learning Resource Centre. This appointment is subject to final budgetary approval.

Qualifications:

BScN or BN, current registration or eligibility for registration with CRNPEI and at least 3 years of full-time clinical experience. Expertise in adult nursing required. Previous experience in clinical supervision of students would be an asset.

Term:  August 25 to April 25 Annually

Fall: NURS 3230 – Partnerships with Client and Families Living with Chronic Illness
3 days per week (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday) with 22.5 hours per week, involves shift work

Winter: NURS 2230 Adult Nursing: Transitions in Health
3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) with 22.5 hours per week, involves shift work

The hours for the Learning Resource Centre will be determined on an as need basis.
