$23.00 per hour (includes benefits and vacation pay) Off Scale CUPE 1870

May 1, 2014 to July 31, 2014 (Term may be reduced or extended depending on performance, available funding and departmental requirements.) 

Dr. Linyuan Guo, Research Investigator, with the Faculty of Education, is seeking applications for a part-time Research Coordinator position.


• Manage various research projects
• Conduct literature review
• Prepare research ethics
• Collect research data through mixed methods (survey, focus-group and individual interviews)
• data transcription
• maintain and analyze research data
• Prepare research reports
• Disseminate research findings with investigator


• PhD or Ph.D candidate  in education, social science, or related discipline
• Experience and expertise in qualitative and quantitative research methods
• Background in research with issues related to community engagement, multicultural education, international education or comparative education.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills 
• Experience and expertise in research ethics
• Experience and expertise in knowledge translation and mobilization
• Experience and expertise with NVivo, SPSS, and/or other textual analysis software
• Experience and expertise in qualitative data collection and analysis
• Excellent communication and academic writing skills
• Excellent computing skills for data processing and management (word, excel etc) 
• Ability to contribute and work productively in cross-cultural settings
