Part-time Term Position
Hours of Work: 

7.5 hours per week

$35.75 per hour plus 6% vacation pay

As soon as possible until February 28, 2014 (Term may be reduced or extended depending on performance, available funding and departmental requirements.)

 The goal of the Continuing Education Project is to provide professional development for practicing nurses. Reporting to the Dean of Nursing, the Continuing Education Project Coordinator is responsible for leading all aspects of the project including assessing the learning needs of practising nurses of PEI, creating a menu of course options, and working with partners to initiate course delivery.
The following outlines the specific responsibilities of the Continuing Education Project Coordinator:

• Developing and conducting a learning needs assessment of practicing nurses of PEI
• Communicating and collaborating with partners
• Working with faculty to create a menu of course offerings
• Marketing of courses, administering all aspects of course registration and delivery
• Preparing an inventory of existing continuing education programs in the region
• Updating School of Nursing website about continuing education activities
• Planning and initiating evaluation processes for the Continuing Education Project
• Preparing a final report
• Other duties as needed.
• Undergraduate degree in nursing: Masters degree preferred
• Experience in program or project management
• Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills
• Excellent leadership skills with evidence of demonstrated success
• Excellent administrative/organizational experience
• Good computer skills
• Experience in program development an asset
• Experience with online survey development would be an asset
