Five (5) Month Term - Physiology and Endocrinology - Department of Biology - Faculty of Science
The Department of Biology at the University of Prince Edward Island invites applications for a 5 month term position at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor, depending on qualifications, to teach 2 biology courses: introductory physiology and endocrinology. This appointment is subject to final budgetary approval.
UPEI is a small, dynamic university with a strong commitment to teaching and research excellence (http://www.upei.ca/programsandcourses/biology). The Department of Biology is a large department in the Faculty of Science. The successful candidate will be assigned to teach Biology 3260; this course has labs and has been designated a writing intensive course at UPEI (http://www.upei.ca/studentlife/registrar/writing-intensive-courses). This is a core course in the third year of our program. The successful candidate will also be asked to teach Biology 4040, Endocrinology, an elective course with no labs.
The position will begin August 1st 2019 or by arrangement. Applicants must hold a M.Sc. or Ph.D. in a physiology-related field and must have documented experience teaching university level courses in biology or other life sciences.
