SNAP Senior Nutrition Research Assistants (2)
Part-time Term Position
Hours of Work: 

22.5 hours per week

$20.19 per hour plus 4% vacation pay (grant funded)

As soon as possible for 12 weeks

Responsible for overseeing all nutrient and food group analysis and interpretation aspects of the dietary data collected through the SNAP research project evaluating school nutrition policies from 2001 to 2012. Specific duties include: accurately code for food group analysis approximately 5500 food records in preparation for nutrient and statistical analysis; statistical analysis of nutrient and food group data using SAS; data interpretation, preparation of tables for publications, assist in updating literature and preparation of publications and reports, assist in knowledge exchange activities.
• Graduate degree in Foods and Nutrition program
• Experience working on the data collection for SNAP; familiarity and understanding of the unique nature of dietary data collected
• Experience using nutrient analysis, statistical analysis software using SAS
• Strong attention to detail; meticulous and exacting approach to data management
• Knowledgeable about nutrient composition of foods; food products in the marketplace
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
