Sessional Instructors - Department of Modern Languages - Faculty of Arts (Fall 2018 and Winter 2019)
The Department of Modern Languages at the University of Prince Edward Island invites applications to teach the following courses during the Academic Year 2018-2019. These positions are subject to final budgetary approval.
Fall Semester:
GER 1010 – Introduction to German I
Course for students with no prior knowledge of German. It will pave the way towards competence in the oral and written usages of the modern German colloquial idiom.
Sept. 3 – Dec 19, 2018
Three hours a week plus lab
3 hours credit
Winter Semester:
GER 1020 – Introduction to German II
Continuation of the program designed for beginners. The ultimate aim is to provide the student with the practice and knowledge necessary to handle questions pertaining to his daily life and realm of work. Three hours a week plus lab
Jan. 3 – April 24, 2019
Prerequisite: German 1010
3 hours credit
Qualifications:
Successful applicants should have a PhD in German Studies and experience in teaching German at the university level.
Preference will be given to qualified candidates with seniority on the UPEI Sessional Roster in the academic unit.
