8 and 12 hour shifts

$ 18.00 per hour includes vacation pay. Pay rate as per CUPE 501.

To Create a Casual Employment List

Facilities Management Security Services Division is seeking to create a casual employment list of Security Attendants. 


Perform such duties as:  staffing the Security Services office dispatch desk and assisting  in the protection of persons and property in student residences. These duties will include but are not limited to: counter and phone reception;  response to emergency requirements; response to maintenance requirements; responding  to a variety of alarm systems and dealing with general building security; fire prevention; assisting with the investigation of complaints, preparing shift reports, etc.


• Have completed courses in Law and Security, Corrections or possess an   equivalent combination of training and experience;
• Excellent writing, speaking and computer skills
• Be physically able to perform the essential duties of the position.
• Knowledge of the UPEI campus would be an asset. 

This position will require week and weekend shift work.  Compensation for these shifts as listed below.
