Contract: 
FULL-TIME TERM POSITION
Hours of Work: 

37.5 hours per week

Salary: 
$35,029 per annum, prorated to term as per CUPE 1870 (salary under review)
Term: 

As soon as possible to May 1, 2012 (Term may be reduced or extended depending on performance, available funding and departmental requirements.)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Veterinary Teaching Hospital requires an Animal Care Attendant to clean and disinfect equipment and animal holding areas; follow specialized feeding instructions; provide assistance with handling patients; assist with daily care of patients including walking and grooming as necessary; work as required with specialized equipment and maintain a high standard of cleanliness. This position includes working weekends as well as statutory holidays.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education - Grade XII, previous experience with small animals is mandatory; small animal hospital experience is an asset; candidates must be self-motivated and able to work independently, but must be able to work well as part of a team.
