37.5 hours per week 

$53,185 to $58,471 per annum, prorate to time and term as per CUPE 1870

As soon as possible for three (3) month term (Term may be reduced or extended depending on performance, available funding and departmental requirements)

The Department of Athletics and Recreation is looking for an energetic, organized and community-minded person to join our staff.  This person will be tasked with growing our profile, enhancing our brand and assisting in revenue generation. 


• Promote, celebrate and cultivate UPEI Panther History through the establishment of permanent displays such as History boards, Athletes of Distinction, Hall of Fame, etc.
• In collaboration with the Department of Development and Alumni Engagement, will explore and pursue corporate sponsorship opportunities and work to establish an annual plan for corporate events and promotional partnerships
• Promote, market and sell Panther Packages, game day tickets and All Access Passes
• Coordinate and promote fundraising initiatives
• Engage (host and arrange visits with) community groups, schools, etc., to connect them with the Panther experience, enhance existing programs and build brand recognition
• Promote Panther Academy offerings and assist with the initiation of Junior Panther Sports programming
• Foster and endorse the promotion of fitness classes, personal training and recreational offerings at the UPEI Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre
• Enhance, promote, and host “PANTHERS CARE” initiatives
• In consultation with the Department of Alumni Development and Engagement, pursue next steps for Era Rep program, branding UPEI facilities and organizing/hosting alumni events
• Work with Varsity Sport Coordinator on the development and execution of in-game promotions product and merchandise sales
• In conjunction with Marketing & Communications, enhance media programming opportunities that share “Panther” stories with the Island community


• Bachelor of Business Administration and/or proven relevant and extensive experience in a related field
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Strong collaborative skills and the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Team-oriented
