Tenure Track Position - Physiology

The Department of Biomedical Sciences of the Atlantic Veterinary College, University of Prince Edward Island invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position in Physiology. Appointment will be at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.

The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to pre-clinical and post-graduate teaching in physiology and to develop a strong externally funded independent research program, as well as to be willing to contribute to emerging multi-disciplinary basic and clinical teams dedicated to transformative research in comparative medicine.  Modern laboratory facilities that include both dedicated and shared-use equipment for both in vitro and in vivo investigations are available on-site.

The successful applicant will have:
• PhD with relevant post-doctoral experience
• Demonstrable expertise in electrophysiology
• Significant record of publications in a relevant discipline
• DVM or equivalent credentials are considered an asset.

The salary is commensurate with credentials and experience.  Full-time, permanent faculty receive a comprehensive fringe benefits package with benefit details provided at time of offer in accordance with the collective agreement.  This appointment is subject to budgetary approval.
