The Robertson Library is engaged in a CANARIE grant-funded software development project, using the latest version of Islandora, an open-source software framework designed to help institutions manage, share, and preserve digital assets.  Reporting to the University Librarian, we are seeking a project coordinator to work as part of the development and implementation team to track tasks and project deliverables, track and maintain project reporting metrics, produce reports and communications related to the project.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing project management and communication support for the grant-funded project:

● Track and update tasks and monitor project deliverables
● Track, update, and contribute to project metrics
● Prepare/edit project documentation
● Ensure reporting requirements are met internally and externally
● Consult and communicate with project collaborators and community stakeholders using a variety of methods
● Organize meetings/workshops
● Maintain project website
● Attend and participate in regular project meetings

QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates require a post-secondary degree in a related field and have a minimum of 3 years in a project management role or a combination of experience and education.

The ideal candidate’s previous work experience will demonstrate:

● Management of projects; eg. managing and tracking tasks and deliverables, maintaining accurate records, and preparing reports; within the software development field would be an asset
● Experience in collaborative, multi-partner environments
● Excellent organizational skills and time management skills
● Excellent written, verbal and inter-personal communication skills
● Demonstrated computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets applications, charts/graphs, project management applications
● Experience with Redmine and Github would be an asset
● Familiarity with Drupal or similar web content management systems
● Familiarity with University processes and policies and external funding organizations would be an asset
