The Department of Biomedical Sciences is seeking applications for a temporary 0.25 FTE part-time Research Assistant. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The position is required to perform in situ kidney stem cell proliferation assessment in kidney development and kidney disease
• Assist in data collection and analysis of multiple cellular markers of progenitor and glomerular cell proliferation

QUALIFICATIONS:

• The successful candidate will have a university-level degree in Life Sciences of equivalent) and demonstrable experience in renal developmental biology
• The candidate must be familiar with molecular biology techniques and data analysis specifically related to the study of mammalian kidney development including RNA in situ hybridization, PCR, real-time qPCR, molecular cloning, Western blot, immunoprecipitation, antibody staining, embryonic kidney organ culture, histology, immunofluorescence and bright field microscopy
• Demonstrated expertise in oral and written scientific communication within the field
• Prior peer-reviewed publications and presentations in the field of study is required
