Reporting to the Director, Centre for Life-Long Learning and working with a project team consisting of faculty, staff, and private consultants, the Educational Researcher/Program Development Officer will create a research plan and will develop a program design and delivery model for an advanced employability skills program.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Research
• Analyze research undertaken to date relative to youth employability skills
• Provide an overview of projects/pilots/initiatives undertaken to address the issue of youth employability skills
• Validate the environmental scan through interviews with project/program leads and researchers
• Perform gap analysis/competitive analysis of research conducted and identify approaches/programs to be tested to address gaps
Program Design
• Propose program content and delivery model(s) to address potential program gaps
• Identify pre and post assessment tools and processes
• Identify program costing for various program options/models including student internship and coaching
• Identify potential delivery and funding partners
• Develop a program evaluation framework

QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will possess strong research and analytical skills; have experience designing programs and/or courses; have experience as a teacher, trainer, or facilitator; and hold a Master’s degree. Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and communication skills required.
