The Faculty of Business at the University of Prince Edward Island has openings for sessional instructors to teach the following courses in the MBA in Global Leadership during the 2019 Summer Session. These positions are subject to final budgetary approval.

BUS 7550 Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the Global Business Environment
(Course dates to be determined, based in part on the availability of the instructor)
This course focuses on the management of innovation and the pursuit of entrepreneurship in different regions of the world and in trans-national settings. The concepts covered are relevant to existing businesses aiming to structure their innovation portfolio and to new, aspiring businesses looking to create value from market opportunities.  Topics include change management, technological innovation, entrepreneurship around the world, entrepreneurial marketing, entrepreneurial finance, and characteristics of entrepreneurs.  Students are required to demonstrate competence through in-depth analysis of relevant cases related to these topics.

BUS 7950 Special Topics: Leading in a Diverse and Inclusive Global Environment
(Course dates to be determined, based in part on the availability of the instructor)
As organizations focus on creating and leveraging diverse and inclusive environments, new challenges arise and leaders must be equipped to create environments that support, enhance and foster such behaviors. Key areas to explore will include expanding traditional definitions of D&I, increasing emotional intelligence and the emotional implications of leading in a globally diverse environment.

Qualifications:
Because these are MBA courses, we seek applicants with a strong combination of qualifications and experience. Minimum educational credentials include a PhD and/or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline. In addition, advanced senior management experience in the course topic is preferred, and is a requirement for applicants without a PhD. Prior teaching experience, and knowledge and familiarity with “Evidence-based Management” principles will be considered assets.

Priority will be given to qualified individuals on the sessional roster of the academic unit.
