The Asian Studies Programme at the University of Prince Edward Island invites applications for a sessional instructor for the first summer semester 2016 (May 9–June 21). We are seeking a qualified language instructor to teach the following credit course in Asian Studies. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.
A ST 101K – Introduction to Korean I (MW 6:00–9:00 pm)
This course is intended for students with no proficiency in Korean at all. It provides an introduction to the modern Korean language, through the study of basic pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar. It includes numerous oral drills, frequent written exercises, short oral presentations, and simple readings. Cross-listed with Modern Languages 101K.

Application Instructions:
Successful applicants should have relevant university degrees and enough experience in teaching Korean as a second or foreign language at an academic college level. Please note that priority will be given to qualified individuals on the UPEI sessional roster of the academic unit. Please submit a letter of application, an updated curriculum vitae, the names of three referees, and a tentative course syllabus (if available) to:
