$48,389 to $53,224 per annum as per CUPE 1870

As soon as possible until February 13, 2015 (Term may be reduced or extended depending on performance, available funding and departmental requirements.) 

The Veterinary Teaching Hospital requires an Animal Health Technician to assist veterinarians in the Small Animal Medicine service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Within an educational environment,
• Provide animal nursing care
• Carry out orders for treatments and diagnostic procedures
• Monitor patient and report any abnormalities
• Stock and maintain supplies in various locations
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness
• Duties may be assigned in other clinical support areas

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a graduate of an Animal Health Technician program from a recognized facility
• RVT designation would be preferred
• Excellent communication skills 
• Must have current experience with small animals 
• Must be self-motivated
• Must be able to work as part of a team, but must also be able to work independently as required.
