Lecturer Radiology/Diagnostic Imaging - Twelve (12) Month Term Position

The Department of Companion Animals at the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC), University of Prince Edward Island, invites applications for a twelve month, full-time term contract faculty position in Radiology/ Diagnostic Imaging. Appointment will be made at the lecturer level.

The successful applicant will join an established Companion Animal Department with thirteen faculty members, eleven house officers, and a team of experienced technicians. Job duties include both didactic and clinical undergraduate teaching radiology and diagnostic imaging.

The successful candidate will have:
• A DVM (or equivalent) degree
• A minimum of two years clinical experience
• Demonstrated teaching ability
• Well-developed skills of collaboration, relationship building and communication
• Eligibility for licensure with the Prince Edward Island Veterinary Medical Association. 

Preference will be given to candidates with a demonstrated interest and advanced training in diagnostic imaging, as well as those experienced in a variety of large and small animal species.

The salary is commensurate with credentials and experience. Full-time faculty receive a comprehensive fringe benefit package, with benefit details provided at time of offer in accordance with the collective agreement.  This appointment is subject to budgetary approval.
