The Department of Companion Animals at the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC), University of Prince Edward Island, invites applications for two full-time tenure track faculty positions in Radiology/ Diagnostic Imaging. Appointment will be made at the Assistant or Associate professor level.

The successful applicant will join an established diagnostic imaging program with a clinical radiologist and two experienced radiation technologists. Job duties include teaching in undergraduate and graduate programs, providing clinical service in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (including emergency services), developing a research program and contributing to extension and continuing education programs.

The successful candidate will have:

• a DVM (or equivalent) degree
• successfully completed an ACVR or ECVDI residency program
• demonstrated teaching ability
• well-developed skills of collaboration, relationship building and communication
• eligibility for licensure with the Prince Edward Island Veterinary Medical Association. 

Preference will be given to candidates with diplomate status in the American College of Veterinary Radiology (ACVR) and those experienced in a variety of diagnostic imaging modalities including ultrasound, MRI, and CT.  A graduate degree is desirable but not mandatory.

The salary is commensurate with credentials and experience. Full-time, permanent faculty receive a comprehensive fringe benefit package, with benefit details provided at time of offer in accordance with the collective agreement.  This appointment is subject to budgetary approval.
