Applications are invited from junior and senior Biology students as well as graduate students interested in assisting or instructing in the following Biology laboratories; Human Physiology 1220; Botany 2020; Cell Biology 2210; Microbial Diversity 2060; Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy 3240;  Evolution 3820; Human & Patho. Physiology 4010; Comp. Environ. Vertebrate Physiology 4020; Conservation Genetics 4130; Biogeography & Macroecology 4520; Biology of Cancer 4720;   and other courses as the need arises.

PLEASE INDICATE THE LABORATORY SECTION(S) IN WHICH YOU ARE INTERESTED AND THE TIMES YOU ARE AVAILABLE.

*STUDENTS EMPLOYED DURING THE FALL SEMESTER DO NOT HAVE TO REAPPLY; HOWEVER THEY MUST CONFIRM THEIR POSITIONS FOR THE WINTER SEMESTER. ALL WILL HAVE TO BE WHMIS TRAINED.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Laboratory setup
  • Demonstrating and assisting students in the lab
  • Marking of assignments

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Applicants must possess good communication skills
  • Have knowledge of the laboratory material
  • Have an acceptable academic record (minimum of 70% avg)                                                      

Priority will be given to University of Prince Edward Island students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and Procedures manual.
