Per appearance $45 (appearance deemed to be 3 hours in duration). Time per appearance over 3 hours to be compensated at UPEI Student Rates of Pay – Student Basic Rate. Mileage outside of Charlottetown/Stratford/Cornwall area provided

The University of Prince Edward Island Athletics and Recreation Department is looking for at least one (possibly more) student(s) to be Pride the Panther and represent UPEI at various campus and community events throughout the academic year.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To represent the Department and UPEI in a positive and energetic manner at
o UPEI Varsity Sports Home Games
o UPEI Events
o Community Events

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Dependable, enthusiastic, outgoing, friendly and courteous
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to adjust easily to unexpected circumstances
• Understand and appreciate the need to provide quality client service
• Previous experience working as a mascot will be considered an asset 
• Access to own transportation will be considered an asset as travel may be involved

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Must be able to wear a full body costume and head
• Must be able to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays 
• Must be able to work in various weather conditions as the attendance at outdoor events is possible
