The International Relations Office is seeking applications for the position of Student Assistant. Reporting to the Administrative Assistant of this area, this position will focus on providing support to all areas of the International Relations Office.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Helping to maintain and build the International Relations Office website and social media outlets
• Helping to coordinate incoming international visits
• Assisting with research on current and future projects
• Assisting in the creation of marketing material
• Assisting in maintaining filing systems and databases
• Coordinating small meetings and events
• Taking meeting minutes
• Answering phones and responding to correspondence
• Sending information packages, etc. by courier
• Leading campus tours
• Performing other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate will ideally be in second year and will be familiar with working in a post-secondary educational environment.

• This position requires strong computer, organizational, and administrative skills with a keen eye for detail
• Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work in both a team environment and independently.
• The successful candidate must be friendly, responsible, and comfortable conducting campus tours and leading delegations from location to location during visits.
