Dr. Don Desserud of the Faculty of Arts is seeking a Student Conference Assistant for the Palmer Conference 2017.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Revise and maintain the Palmer Conference 2017 website.  This will include regularly updating the site and ensuring that various links are active
• Create and manage a Facebook site, which will also be continually updated
• Create and manage a Twitter account or other such social media sites as are deemed useful
• Working with the conference organizer, the student will liaise with area hotels and attractions to secure website sponsors and links
• Respond to queries and comments made on the Facebook site or through email

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Applicants should be in their third or fourth year of a degree program in Business, Computer Sciences, and Political Science or in a related field
• Graduate Student would be an asset
• Applicants should have a good working knowledge of web design and social media
• A background in public relations would be an asset
