 The Alumni Office in the Department of Advancement is hiring a student for the position of Student Alumni Association Coordinator. The Student Alumni Association (SAA) is the Alumni Association’s connection to current students on campus. Through this position we aim to enhance our relationship with students before they graduate and become our alumni.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The SAA Coordinator will further promote the ambitions of the SAA by:
• Developing a strong campus presence – social media, website updates, physical presence
• Organizing events to encourage student engagement
• Enhancing the student experience by adding to school spirit on campus through a variety of avenues (e.g. free give-aways for students, participation in existing campus events, promotion of Alumni Office events, etc.)
• Maintaining a strong connection between the Department of Advancement and the Student Union
• Supporting our existing mentorship program: SHARE
• Connecting current students to the Alumni Office and UPEI alumni
• Other opportunities as they arise/duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:
The chosen candidate will be creative, enthusiastic, professional and reliable. They will excel with public speaking, writing for the web, and social media. This person will work well within budgets and timelines and will always perform as if they are representing UPEI and the Alumni Association.
Priority to University of Prince Edward Island students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and Procedures manual.
