Two-Year Term Faculty Position

The University of Prince Edward Island is inviting applications for a two-year term position as the St. Dunstan’s University Visiting Scholar of Catholic Studies to commence on July 1 of 2017. A terminal doctorate degree in religious studies, theology, or a related field is required for this position. The successful candidate will be expected to teach Religious Studies 171 (Introduction to Catholic Christianity) as well as other courses in Catholic Studies.

This position is open to candidates in all areas of Catholic Studies, but the department has a particular interest in those whose teaching and scholarship (A) are anchored in the Catholic intellectual tradition and (B) include some area of inter-religious dialogue. Preference will also be given to candidates with undergraduate teaching experience and a willingness to promote experiential learning in their capacity as the St. Dunstan’s University Visiting Scholar of Catholic Studies.  This position is subject to final budgetary approval.
