$36,274 to $39,904 per annum, prorated to time and term as per CUPE 1870

Financial Services requires an administrative assistant to provide support services to assist with customer service and financial administration for UPEI.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Represent Financial Services as the initial point of personal and telephone contact with the public, faculty, students and staff
• Respond to campus, client and vendor inquiries regarding purchasing, payment and revenue services
• Provide administrative support to management, supervisors and staff
Compose, type, photocopy and collate a wide range of documents and correspondence
• General accounting duties
• Acknowledge routine written and telephone inquiries
• Compile and organize information for reports
• Arrange appointments and meetings
• Assist in maintaining positive communications
• Maintain administrative filing system and mailing lists
• Prepare requisitions and other forms
• Update Website
• Monitor office and other supplies
• Other duties as may be required

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Successful completion of Grade 12
• Successful completion of an Administrative Assistant Program with related experience or a combination of education and experience
• Knowledge and experience in accounting procedures, computerized accounting systems and software
• Knowledge and experience in contract management and project management
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Gmail and Google Calendar
• Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with people
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
